These are the questions buyers most often ask before a first order of crude palm oil or TSR20 natural rubber from us. Short answers are in the FAQ below this introduction. Where a topic needs more space, we link to a full guide. When you are ready, you can request a quote.
Before your first order
Most first orders follow the same path: an enquiry, a sample, a trial container, then a volume contract. We expect new buyers to check us at each step, and we make it easy to do so. Our guide to buying commodities from West Africa safely is the checklist we suggest you use with any seller, including us.
Who we sell to
We sell to palm oil refiners and importers, tyre and rubber goods manufacturers, and rubber importers. We ship worldwide, and our most frequent destinations are West Africa, the EU and Asia. We work with companies that buy for their own production or for resale to manufacturers, and that can sign a written contract in their company name.
Products and grades
We supply crude palm oil, palm kernel shells for biomass fuel and natural rubber (TSR10 and TSR20) from Liberia. For detailed specifications, see CPO quality parameters and TSR20 specifications explained. If you need a grade or limit we have not listed, ask. We will tell you plainly whether we can supply it.
Contracts and payment
Every order is covered by a written contract that sets out the specification, quantity, shipment, inspection, documents, payment and claims. Our sales contract checklist explains each clause. Payment terms are agreed per contract. The options are explained in payment terms: LC, CAD and TT.
Samples, inspection and quality
We send samples with a certificate of analysis, and every shipment is inspected by an independent surveyor before loading. See ordering samples and pre-shipment inspection.
Lead times and planning
Plan your first order around three lead times: sample delivery and your own testing, contract and inspection, and the voyage itself. Transit from Monrovia ranges from about one to two weeks to Ghana to five to seven weeks to Asia, depending on transhipment. Add a margin for vessel delays, especially in the wet season when inland transport is slower. Buyers on a regular programme usually agree a monthly or quarterly shipment schedule, which lets us plan collection, processing and bookings in advance.
After delivery
When the cargo arrives, check the container seal against the bill of lading before opening, photograph the cargo and test it against the contract. If quality or weight is outside the contract, tell us in writing within the claims period stated in the contract, with the evidence it requires. Claims are settled under the contract, by allowance, replacement or rejection depending on the case. Our inspection guide explains how load port and discharge results are compared.
Shipping and documents
We ship from the Freeport of Monrovia on FOB, CFR or CIF terms, and every shipment comes with a full document set. We are not yet EUDR compliant and are working towards it, so EU buyers should talk to us about their requirements first. See shipping from Monrovia and export documents explained.
